Sines Excavating LLC is family owned and operated. The business was started in 1999 by Dave, Carol and Josh Sines. Today, the business is still family owned and is now run by brothers, Josh and Brad. The business started with one skidsteer, a mini excavator and a dump truck and has grown to be equipped for any job, large or small. Current equipment includes two front end wheel loaders, large and small excavators, a bulldozer, and semi trucks.

Josh Sines
“I’ve been around equipment my whole life. I spent a few years working with another excavating company to learn the trade before starting our business. We’ve been fortunate to have steady business since we started.”
Josh focuses on the excavating side of the business, with over 15 years of experience, he’s acquired a lot of knowledge. His work ethic and experience make excavating jobs run smoothly. Josh is married to Carrie who is a teacher. They have three children, Dakota, Jayden and Bryce.
Brad Sines
“Working for the family business has it’s perks. I get to work with my brother, dad and grandpa. Some days my boys ride in the truck with me. You can’t say that about most jobs.”
Brad focuses on the trucking jobs and helps keep the equipment running. After high school Brad went to diesel technician training in Denver, CO. After the 18-month program, he moved back to Defiance and worked for a local company doing equipment repair. He joined Sines Excavating LLC full time in 2008 and has helped the business grow. Brad is married to Stephanie who is a registered nurse. They have three active boys, Easton, Corbin and Braxton.

Dave & Carol started the business in 1999, along with their oldest son Josh.
